We're proud to share our involvement in the groundbreaking CVDLINK project, backed by the Horizon Europe Program. The challenge we face is monumental, with over 6 million new cases of cardiovascular disease (CVD) and 1.8 million deaths annually in the EU alone. The urgency for innovative and effective preventive measures has never been greater. Through CVDLINK, we aim to revolutionize the management of CVDs, leveraging cutting-edge technology and data-driven strategies to make a significant impact.

At the core of our mission within CVDLINK is the development of a privacy-by-design, European-wide federated platform-as-a-service (PaaS). This platform is the cornerstone of our approach, enabling the seamless and legally compliant integration, sharing, and automated curation of data. Alongside this, we are developing a suite of AI and data-enabled precision medicine tools. These tools are designed to advance research, improve patient outcomes, and ultimately transform the way we diagnose, stratify risk, and treat CVDs.

Our role in this consortium, alongside 18 other partners, signifies our commitment to leveraging real-world data for the betterment of diagnosis, prognosis, and risk assessment of CVDs. By examining seven different cardiovascular conditions across seven countries, we are setting a new standard in how diverse data sources can be effectively utilized. Our goal is to build comprehensive AI-driven tools that will not only benefit health systems and patients but also contribute positively to the well-being of EU citizens at large.

The impact of our work in CVDLINK will be demonstrated through the prospective validation of the developed tools in five countries. Furthermore, we are committed to generating a set of best practices, conducting a cost-effectiveness analysis, and leading systematic awareness-raising campaigns. These efforts are geared towards ensuring the wide adoption of CVDLINK's outcomes, setting a new benchmark in the fight against cardiovascular diseases.
